BIGFOOT #16 debuted mid-2007 with Dan “The Man” Runte driving.  This was the first new BIGFOOT monster truck in over a decade.  Its first event was in Springfield, MO at the Four Wheel & Off-Road Jamboree.  This was the first BIGFOOT to use a 2-speed Abruzzi transmission.  All other BIGFOOT trucks up until that time had used a standard C-6 transmission, which is a 3-speed.  It also used a 565 c.i. engine, whereas most BIGFOOT trucks had used some variation of a 572 c.i. up until #16.  In its first year it won the brand new MLMT racing championship.  This truck also won a championship in 2011 and 2012.  #16 came to its demise in Indianapolis, IN at the 4-Wheel Jamboree in 2012 after a hard crash on black-top, which bent the chassis beyond moderate repair.  Most of the parts off 16 went on to be used in BIGFOOT 21.
